Early November 2002 I started to do the images for the series Day&Night at the 'Hamburger Dom'. I am fascinated by the contrast of the single merry-go-rounds, tents and shops by day and at night. Covered with tarred canvas, moist, cold, unicolored and dead during the day and colorful, movable, loud and quick at night.

To show this contrast, I do the sequences of images by day and at night from the same tripod position.
